Wheels

Axles for locomotives and rolling stock.

For flush axles/wheelsets order from the axles section and wheels from the wheels listing.

North Yard wheels have acetal centres with plated brass tyres.  Unless stated otherwise, tyre profiles and wheel sets conform to NMRA standards RP25/code 110 and RP24.2HO scale, 16.5mm gauge.  Most are 1:64 NZR wheel replicas, but also suit other applications.

RP25/1410 insulated, with 3mm axles.  Crankpin holes not tapped.

WAGON AND BOGIE PAIRS.  16.5mm gauge RP25/110 profile, blackened brass tyres, pinpoint axles (wheel pair = 2 wheels and 1 axle)  Code suffix indicates axle length (e.g. 232.25, 316.26)  as follows:

26mm = NMRA and British standard

25mm = shorter option

23.8mm = available but non-preferred.

For flush axles, order wheels from the SINGLE WHEELS section and axles from the AXLES section

Counterweight sets for driving wheels.  Brass castings, locating over spokes.

O Gauge Driving Wheels Insulated NY277 profile, 4.1mm wide stainless tyre.

NY215 profile 3.5mm wide blackened brass tyres on acetal centres.  Blackened steel axles are 50mm long with 2mm diameter pinpoint ends.
